"I think that you're just fine at it. I understand everything that you say...but better than that, you help me see more than just my own view of the world. It's nice to have someone who doesn't just agree with you the entire time."
Tsubasa's grin explodes across his face, loving the words that his new friend spoke to him. "It's always fun to learn how something is seen different in someone else's eyes!! That's what makes all of our views unique and fun! If everyone agreed...I suppose this would be a very boring world to live in wouldn't it? Well...I guess I shouldn't really be saying "world" since there's so many of them..." He chuckles, shrugging and redirecting his full attention to Skylar, grin becoming more gentle. "It's amazing the type of people you run into into so many different worlds...so many different ideas and views..."
"Hey...is everything okay?"
Tsubasa's heart jumped at the question. Did he really just catch that!? I though that I had it hidden well enough to where he couldn't catch it! He looks at him slowly, debating on how to approach his question. "Oh yes, everything is fine~ Sorry, I was just thinking of something that I have to get done later on... It's not a very fun task, but it's not anything that I want people to worry about. That's how unimportant it is." He smiles happily, hoping he doesn't try to draw out the conversation any longer than it's already gone.
Skylar's voice was music in Tsubasa's ears. It wasn't even anything that important that the male just said, but it was almost enough to allow Tsubasa to float on clouds. "No, I suppose not. But you seriously don't realize how many people do until you start to jump dimensions yourself. It's quite intriguing actually... I've ran into many different travelers. What's the most interesting though is the reason why they're traveling~ It's so cool to hear different people's stories!" He grins and giggles childishly, remembering some of the old stories he had been told over the years.
"You said you had a sweet tooth, right? Why don't we go see if there's something good in there?"
Smiling up at him, Tsubasa hastily pushes himself off of the bench and jumping up and down excitedly, clapping his hands in a speedy rhythm. "OO!! YAY!! CANDY STORE!! CANDY STORE!! Let's go!!" he yells in excitement, grabbing hold of his wrist and dragging him behind him in his jubilant rush toward the sweet paradise.

'I could get used to listening to him. It's almost scary...but I think that if I really could just sit here and talk with him for awhile every day...I could definitely get used to this. Heck if I'm not already. Sky thought, just listening to Tsubasa talk with a vigor and attention that he didn't even give his father during one of his loud, obnoxious lectures. You're right; it would be boring. I wouldn't want to live in a world where everyone agreed with one another. 'That's why I left mine.' Sky thought, smiling to cover up the sudden darkness in his eyes.
Do you really enjoy listening to their stories? Sky asked, realizing just what a special guy Tsubasa was. He himself didn't really have interest in the problems and tales of someone else - he was out for anything that directly affected him, and that was it. He didn't have any desire to be that selfless...which proved just how much of a demon he really was. If you don't want to do it...then why don't you just skip out? That was always Sky's solution to everything. If you didn't want to do it, then just don't do it; that way, you didn't have to pain yourself over it.
Sky listened to Tsubasa with interest. He hadn't been traveling that long himself, and he had mostly stayed under cover while trying to hide. He hadn't met as many people as Tsubasa had due to his shy nature...and of course that being discovered wouldn't be pleasant. Really? I guess that I should really talk to people more... Sky hated lying to this person, but there was no way in...well, hell that he would ever do that. It could mean getting caught...and besides, it wasn't like he actually cared. But for Tsubasa's sake...he might pretend a little harder. What are some of your favorites?
Sky's eyes widened in absolute shock as the boy before him jumped up and down. Before he knew it, he was being dragged over to the lightly lit candy store, his wrist captured in that of an over-zealous candy addict's. He simply smiled, doing his best to follow along. Pick something you like; someone who likes sweets so much should have some.

Tsubasa giggles, nodding at his reply. "True indeed... I can't even imagine it in all honesty. A world where everyone were like me... That'd be scary!!" he chortles, smiling at him. It's definitely better that no one is like me... I wouldn't wish my life on anyone... Barely catching the shadows that slightly overcome Skylar's face, Tsubasa's own smile falls out of concern. He wants to ask him, but decides against it knowing that it's probably a discussion that's left to only exist in the other male's mind.
"Do you really enjoy listening to their stories?"
The grin makes its meek appearance again, helping to shape Tsubasa's next words. "Oh, yes, I really do. There's so many different variations of one idea from different worlds and then there's just the myths, cultures, and even everyday life. For instance, the last world I was in was one of a desert. In that world, they wore different clothing than the people in this world and they don't believe as highly about magic as this world does. Then there's tons of other things... I could go on and on..." he gazes over at him softly, "You're always learning new things... It's truly amazing in every way."
"If you don't want to do it...then why don't you just skip out?"
Tsubasa doesn't even try to make an attempt to cover the sadness in his eyes...in his smile when the depressing understanding washes over him. "It's not...that simple... I'm bound to do this no matter what... If I don't then there could be...consequences..." Sighing, his head drops a bit. "It's my bitter reality that I wish I could change... However, I chose to follow this path, so there's no turning back... Time can't be undone no matter how much I wish it could. That's why I try to make the best of things now while I still can~"
"What are some of your favorites?"
Excitement fills in every crevice of his features when being asked such a question. "Wow, there's just so many! Well, there was one group that was running away from some hunter...then I heard about one group that's been searching for feathers. Um, there was one person that was traveling to learn a bunch of different forms of magic and martial arts. There's been so many~" His eyes glitter with memories of all his past encounters and during over his travels. He's never realized how much he loves reminiscing over all the different things that he's been told and to share it with someone? It was just awesome for him.
His jaw drops, numerous pigments and shades of the rainbow filling his golden irises when dashing through the doors. "Wow..."
"Pick something you like; someone who likes sweets so much should have some."
He gasps, flinging himself around with a worried look settling over his expression. "But...I don't want you to have to pay for me! I like so many things!!"

Besides, you would fight with everyone. I can't imagine someone like you fighting with anyone. Skylar smiled, feeling the same way. He was sure that if everyone was like him, then there would be a world filled with disappointed, angry people...all who had lost someone extremely close to them...all who belonged nowhere, who didn't even want to belong because they were afraid that they would be taken away at any moment.
Sky could see the question in Tsubasa's eyes. He smiled kindly, inviting the boy to answer. You look like you want to ask me something. It's okay, you know - you can ask me anything you like. 'There's just no guarantee that I'll answer. The demon thought, eyeing his new friend with interest.
It's great that someone like you is a traveler. Only you can understand the greatness in learning about things...the best way to fill your mind with knowledge is to go out and gain world experience, after all. You're a very smart guy, Tsubasa. Sky wasn't just making fun of him or being mean...his words were very sincere. Tsubasa was obviously one of the only ones that he could actually see traveling, meeting new people. Then I wish you luck in your endeavor. Sky said politely, punctuating his words with a smile. He wouldn't ask about what it was that Tsubasa was bound to...yet. He didn't want to pester the poor boy.
Sky listened to Tsubasa as he went on about his favorite stories, smiling the entire way. It was so awesome to hear him talk - he was so exciting to listen to that he made the subject matter seem like something that he needed to pay attention to. He was sure that the boy could make even schoolwork seem exciting...if he were still allowed back home, Sky was sure that he would have contemplated taking him back by this point, just to make things more eventful. Then again, he'd gotten enough excitement for a lifetime...and he wasn't enjoying it.
That sounds very cool. Sky said as they entered the store. Just get what you want, Tsubasa. I'm more than fine buying you whatever you wish. I've enjoyed your company very much, and I want to thank you with something small.

"Besides, you would fight with everyone. I can't imagine someone like you fighting with anyone."
He chuckles sheepishly, shoulders falling slightly. "Maybe not verbally at least..." Tsubasa's eyes fall a little remembering all the fights he's had in the past. I may not be someone who can fight well with words...but I've gotten in so many physical fights that have led many to their deaths...except...for ONE... A sigh breaks past his lips without his meaning to.
"You look like you want to ask me something. It's okay, you know - you can ask me anything you like."
His heart speeds up slightly and he looks over at him with a bit of an unsure expression. "...Well, you just seemed to darken a bit at the mention of living in a world where everyone thought the same. I guess I was just a bit curious is all..." he tells him with a small smile, punctuating with a shrug.
"It's great that someone like you is a traveler. Only you can understand the greatness in learning about things...the best way to fill your mind with knowledge is to go out and gain world experience, after all. You're a very smart guy, Tsubasa."
Tsubasa snorts at his words. "You'd be the first to call me smart... I'm not exactly smart at all. I just take things in that are interesting and they are never forgotten. Nothing special..." He doesn't like being complimented all to much and never has. Well, at least not after the first and last relationship that he was in. Tsubasa's been complimented by tons of people in the past worlds he's been in, but he hasn't exactly went through a lot of trouble to form a basis to a relationship like he has with Skylar. Still, even then he didn't enjoy being lifted up. After all, what has Tsubasa done that would allow him to be thought of so highly? All he is is a murderer and a coward. He just can't bring himself to believe that that's worthy of any praise.
"Then I wish you luck in your endeavor."
"...Thanks..." His fall away slowly while his mind races with what he's actually wishing him luck for. I don't need that...I don't deserve it... Eyes widening slightly, his head pops up quickly. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!? Why am I acting so down all of a sudden and feeling sorry for myself!? I've never done this before...this has always been more a joke to me than a situation to cry about! Is it just that he's able to draw out some deeper emotions in me?? Well, that's enough of this. Stop feeling bad for yourself, Tsubasa, and start acting like you normally do!!
"Just get what you want, Tsubasa. I'm more than fine buying you whatever you wish. I've enjoyed your company very much, and I want to thank you with something small."
Tsubasa smiles at him in awe, the only adjectives bouncing around in his head about Skylar were awesome, amazing, and perfect. Although, what really got him was that Skylar actually called him by his name for the first time. It was godsend! He takes off instantly toward nearly everything, talking a thousand miles an hour with eyes wide with excitement.

Skylar studied Tsubasa a bit closer, wondering why in the world his eyes fell. Was what he said wrong or something? Had it hurt the other boy's feelings? Skylar didn't want to be his cause of misery or anything...all he wanted was to make the other happy. He noticed the sigh that had escaped the other's lips, and his own smile fell a little bit. What was it that Tsubasa was so miserable about? Unfortunately, I'm a master of both. Skylar admitted, shrugging his shoulders. I hate to be...but when you're a traveler, I suppose it's better to fight...right? You never know what you're going to come up on, after all...
He trailed off, shrugging his shoulders. That was more than true in his situation - you never knew what was going to happen to you anywhere you went. It was much better to be able to protect yourself...even if you really wished that you didn't have to know how, as Skylar did.
The demon nodded, shrugging his shoulders. I would hate that idea. I mean, a bunch of people with my ugly face? Jeez, that sounds like hell. Skylar smirked at the boy, feeling as though he really were having fun now...not just screwing around with yet another poor sap he'd met on his travels. Tsubasa was actually...fun.
You will remember what's important to you. Fortunately, it seems that what's important to you is important to me, too. Skylar loved encouraging this boy. Normally, it was more fun to put someone down and make fun of them - he was a demon, after all - but not in this case. Now, all he wanted to do was see the other smile. Was that so terrible?
According to Skylar's father, it was.
Yet again, Tsubasa's face had fallen. Skylar figured that something terrible had happened to the poor boy...and now, he was paying for it. Just like him. The demon's eyes widened as he studied the other boy, wondering how so much depth and sadness could be packed into such a little body. Skylar kind of wanted to hug him...so he just did. He wrapped his arms around the boy, and gave him a freaking hug. I don't know what happened, but it's going to be okay. Believe me, I know - almost everything heals with time.
Skylar laughed aloud as Tsubasa went bouncing around in the candy store. He eagerly followed the other, enjoying his company more than he had ever enjoyed anyone else's. I've never really had candy before... There hadn't been many sweets where he came from. He wanted to at least try some here before someone showed up and forced him to go back.
